Info:
I grew up in Southwest Philadelphia with two older sisters, a younger brother, and a half-brother.  I attended many different schools, due to the fact that my family moved around a lot. I met my husband, Donald O'Flynn Jr., when I was fifteen years old. I worked many different jobs as a teenager, including a Darby Swim Club (cook), a Burlington Coat Factory (cashier), and a Lansdowne Diner (waitress). I worked for Super Fresh in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, which led to the unfortunate incident of a robbery hold up during one of my morning shifts. I was scared out of the job and eventually gained a better job at UPS. Don and I got married on August 26th, 1989, while I was eighteen years old.
I continued to work at UPS until I was twenty years old, which was when I became pregnant and could not lift heavy objects anymore. I gave birth to our first child, Donald "Donny" O'Flynn III on August 27th, 1991. Donny is now eighteen years old and currently living in our West Chester home.  Right after his birth, we moved to Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, which is where he and my other children were raised. Right after his senior year began, my husband and I decided to move to West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Donny had to transfer to Rustin High School. I am proud to say that he graduated with the class of 2009. He has decided not to attend college, but yet begin his career early with the Steamfitters Union. While waiting to test with the Steamfitters, he is working a full time job under his father, who co-owns his own construction business along with his brother.
Three years later, on May 20th, 1994, Mary Katharine O'Flynn came into the world. MaryKate, as we call her, is now sixteen years old and just like any other teenage girl her age. She has interests that of any teenage girl, consisting of sleeping, boys, and shopping. She is a very independent individual and excels in reading. She will be going into eleventh grade in the fall of 2010 and hopes to attend college in fall 2012 for a department in Forensic Analysis. She text-messages more than everyone in the household combined. Katie is a one of a kind girl.
Our third child is a very outlandish, funny soul. He is our second son, Seamus Mackenzie O'Flynn, born on February 1st, 1996. He is now fourteen years old and will be going into eighth grade. Seamus is the spirit of the family; he loves to work and has a passion for firefighting. His room has been decorated to look like a fire station, and he collects everything that involves firefighting. He also has a passion for fireworks and likes to collect and display them for the family on the Fourth of July. Seamus earns his money and often saves up for something of his interest. He works part-time helping my husband at work with little jobs. Just like any other boy, "Smo" is girl-crazy. He is a big jokester and the class clown. Seamus aspires to be a firefighter in the future and is starting as early as possible to help people.
To close off the family, we end with our fourth child, Meghan Marie O'Flynn. Coincidentally, Meghan was also born on February 1st , four years exactly after Seamus. She is now ten years old and a very artistic young girl. She has a passion for drawing and for collecting rocks. She has so many clothing outfits she does not know what to do with; she cannot throw anything away! Taking after her sister, Meghan is very independent for her age. She loves very girly colors and her favorite is purple. She loves science and reading and looks up to her older brother Donny. She will be going into fifth grade in fall 2010. Meghan is an active member of her school chorus and a soon member of the cheerleading squad.
Along with raising my children, I also helped raised my four nieces and nephews: Stephanie, Daniel Jr., Erin, and Devin O'Flynn. It was August of 1992 when they moved in our home with their father; my oldest, Donny, was one year old at the time. Stephanie, the eldest, moved in with her mother when she was eleven years old. Following Stephanie, Erin moved out when she was also eleven. Daniel Jr., also known as Danny, stayed with his father and my family, until he got his own apartment with his girlfriend Cassie. Devin moved out at eighteen with his friend; he is currently living with his mother. Our family is a very close and caring group.
Just this past June, I had my graduation for receiving my GED in 2009. In my past, I have accomplished many things. I took up a small business course in 1990 and then learned credit repair in 1991, which have both come in handy in my life. I have completed other courses such as Real Estate Practice and Fundamentals in 1998, Stocks and Bonds in 2007, Debt-Free and Prosperous Living in 2007, and finally Real Estate Abstracting in 2008. I just recently passed my Real Estate license test in early 2010, and this is where I am today, a proud wife, mother, and realtor for Exit Elite Realty, which is where I will strive to give my best and help people find great, suitable homes.
